Now that summer is half over (how???) I started making headway on my summer sewing goal…making bed quilts for my boys.
I decided to make different patterns but keep the colors/fabrics the same since they share bunk beds…and their Mom is a matchy-matchy freak.
I went with a simple strip quilt for boy #2, I love the way its turning out. My sewing helper agrees…
…she’s very agreeable when she's being held or smiled at and talked to. It really makes me cranky that she’s getting bigger, I want her to stay a newborn for at least another year!

She's so beautiful!!!

Very cute... and I can't wait to see the quilts. Are you making them with jelly rolls?
Auntie Pami
Adorable! Is her hair getting reddish? I love those baby chairs.

Must nibble on those feet! Every time I see a pic of her I think of my two boys who were followed by a baby sister. I know just how much you're loving that baby girl :-) Having both boys and a girl enriches our family in so many ways. I'm so thankful to see your crew happy and healthy.

First of all, gorgeous little sweetie-pie you have there. Second, the glimpse of your quilt in the process just looks great, loving those fabrics. Can't wait! :)

What a cutie pie! Babyhood slips away all too quickly, doesn't it? I can't wait to see how your boys' quilts turn out.

Everything about her is such sweetness---right down to her toes! Happy stitching
Dawn
I hope you don't get tired of hearing how completely adorable she is. Cuz she sure is! :) Can't wait to see the quilt.

Curious...would the colors be any different if you were doing the quilt for your daughter? The color scheme you're using looks wonderful for both.
And your daughter is too cute!

Lovely, lovely baby!!!

Make that little bundle of joy sleep in a short bed so she can't get any bigger...lol. And give her some smoochy kisses from me. I miss having babies around, although when I did, I had clumps of them! But, I was much younger then...8-)

I'm making bed quilts for my sons as summer project, too. I also selected some Pezzy Prints, my son calls them "elevators" on his I Spy Quilt... :-)

Seeing your sewing helper just made my evening! I wouldn't get anything accomplished if she were helping me! But she would be so good for my soul and that is all that would matter! You are blessed!

Love the fabrics, and what a little doll you have there. :)

I think your quilts are going to look amazing.
But your wee quilt helper is such a wee cutie - I don't know how you get any work done :))

I love that fabric! You're little girl is too cute for words! At least she's so yummy even if she won't stay small. I know the feeling. My baby is two and I wish he'd shrink back down.

Oh, those precious TOES!
Judith Blinkenberg
Yes, they do grow up and too fast. Is her room pink? I had two boys before my girl. One day you'll be holding her little girl! She is a little princess and as sweet as her Mommy. I look forward to seeing the boys quilts.

OMG, if she isn't the cutest thing around!! Does she have strawberry blonde hair? Anywho...way too cute for words!

I'm feeling the same way about Nikolai. Stop it! Stop growing.

First time I have read your blog but I will certainly be back. Your blog and Off Track quilt were mentioned on the Quilt Board so I had to come see what you make. Love the Off Track quilt! But like others what I really love is that beautiful, happy, adorable face on your daughter! Her smile is captivating. Continue to take lots of those photos so you will have them in the future. I also had two boys and then a girl so I know how that all feels. My girl is now in her 30's and still a joy (although we did have a few of those ugly teens years). We are great friends and you two will be also. I'll be back to check on your blog again for sure.

Our children grow up way to fast. The other night I had to beg my youngest (who is 9) to cuddle with me. I miss when they were little and would fit on my lap.
I like the looks of the quilts for the bunk.

Your quilts are amazing! I am a beginning quilter, seriously this first one is taking me over a year but after much research including finding your lovely site I am finally at the end. I hope you don't mind I mentioned your site on my blog....www.allsortsofgoodstuff.blogspot.com
