How on earth did Christmas already come and go?? It was a total whirlwind of awesomeness. I stayed in my pajamas way too much and ate sugar cookies for breakfast and let my house go to pot on more than a few occasions.
I sewed a smidge…making a scrappy Houndstooth quilt. You can really only see the “houndstooth” pattern if you step back and squint and even then it’s almost not even there. Oh well.
There are tons of great Houndstooth patterns and tutorials out there, but I used this tutorial with a slick strip-tube method.
Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year too!!!

This is lovely! It didn't occur to me to mix houndstooth anything with scrappiness. Well done!

I can see it! Cute! I want to make a plaid houndstooth like "Leslie Unfinished". I dream of color schemes...

When this popped up on Feedly I had to come to the blog to pin it, it looks like such a fun scrap quilt. I didn't see the houndstooth at first but now I do.

OOOooo...sugar cookies and pumpkin pie breakfasts and jammies all day...these are a few of my favorite things! LOL! Christmas did zing by, holy cow...I got some good cuddles in with my new little grandson Charlie though! :)
I was surprised...and then not. Not a hounds tooth fan but then scrappy makes everything cute...I like it!!! A lot! And if you squint even harder you see fat little guppies swimming downwards! LOL!

I love the bright white and how all the pretty colors just pop. Not sure that I see hounds tooth but doesn't matter when the quilt is so lovely.

I didn't notice the Houndstooth in this but I don't think it matters. I love this quilt!!! I have so, so very many scraps (it's seriously alarming) and this would be such a fun quilt pattern to make up a bunch of scrappy quilts.

I have also been lusting after a Juki for some time now and have decided that I will order one this week! Can you change the speed on it to slow it down? I like a slower speed for FMQing.
