Coming to a close

I love the end of summer. By the end of the summer I’m ready for some routine, schedules, cooler weather and warmer food. I’ve hardly touched the sewing machine in 2 weeks….I guess I needed a break from sewing.
Instead I’ve been sitting around watching my kids play and eating zucchini in truckloads….since we have literally truck loads.

I did manage to get Bizzy Kid into a hard copy….it’s so nice to cross that off the list. It only took me 3 months. :)

Thank you for all your kind words on my Seville quilt. I’ll get the finished quilt pictures edited and posted this week. More on that quilt later….

Wow, that's a lot of zucchini or marrows as I would call them! I am glad you have had a good summer. Soapy

  76. Jenn September 24, 2011 at 3:45 pm #

growing up in montana i remember my mother always grew zucchini the size of yours – HUGE! we ate lots of zucchini bread and chocolate zucchini cake, among other things. here in south carolina you just don't see much zucchini and when you do, it's tiny – perfect for frying up, sprinkling with garlic herb seasoning and parmesan…although I do miss the BIG stuff! :)
