After hanging on the wall for a week I decided to make my colorful mini-quilt into a quilt for Sophie. My husband thought the 4 quilts she has are already enough.
Psshhh….there is no such thing as enough quilts as long as we use all of them right?
I did an off center design so the borders are smaller on the top and right side. I’ll put a bigger photo up with a quickie pattern in the next few days.
I quilted it with flowers (so fun to do!) and it took a few tries to make my flowers look like flowers….and it turned out way better than expected.
The backing and binding are from the Les Amis line for Michael Miller.
It's so pretty! I love the colors - so springy and fresh!
It's beautiful, I love it :)
really nice and yes never enough quilts!
Love the quilting on this one! So pretty.
Beautiful! I love to be sorrounded with many-many quilts, so....There can never be enough :)
That is just darling!!
Aw. Too cute!! :o) Look at Sophie's cute little pony tail! Adorable!
How clever - off center the middle of your quilt. Seriously Al, this may go viral! :o)
So adorable Allison!! Love the quilting!! That is one of my favorite things to doodle!!
There can NEVER be enough quilts!! I love the flower quilting, very sweet.
Never enough quilts! Nice quilt and I agree: quilting with flowers is nice work and it looks great.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
That's so pretty! I especially like the flower quilting.
Your quilted flowers look fabulous! Those are so much harder to do than you'd think just by looking at them. And I agree -- no such thing as too many quilts!
randi--i have to say
I missed the baby's birthday post, so happy birthday to her! She is a cutie!
Also, this quilt is just lovely. I like the wide border!
I agree with everyone else-never enough quilts & certainly not too many! :) Besides, look at how Sophie admires it. Clearly she can't take her eyes off of it. :)
It is beautiful, just like everything you make :) I love the Les Amis fabrics and have been stocking up on them, they are just so sweet. I actually just finished another modified-Scout quilt using the coral/peach ones.
Soooo pretty! I love that coral border.

I really like the border on this one. Sophie is adorable. And I need to get some of the Les Amis fabric before it is impossible to get...
The border is such a pretty color!
Oh, I love this! What a great design!!

I think the coral is so pretty with it. Kinda unexpected, but really well done. And how sweet are those flowers you machine quilted!
What a great quilt! It looks like half square triangles. Super Cute, and little girls never have enough blankets. Wait till she has all her dolls all over them and having tea parties. It will make them priceless!
Obviously Sophie likes it! :)
So beautiful! I agree - you can't have too many quilts if you are using them all (which includes rotating them from the cupboard!). On that basis, I think you can probably make another fifty? I love the rose cushion in the photos - do you have a tutorial? My house desperately needs some style. I need to concentrate on making things for myself...
Aw! Such a cute pic. I admire your flower quilting- would you consider sharing how it's done?
La Pecora Nera
Hi, congrats! So beautiful quilt and the flowers is a great idea!
Please, do you have a tutorial to sharing with us?
A big hug from Italy, Emanuela
Love it! So pretty. And the quickie pattern would be great too!
I think it is so cute.
I'll hug them both, please!

Beautiful! You always inspire me!
4 quilts is enough? WHERE has he been? lol x
I love this simple but fun quilt. Let your husband know that Sophie needed a quilt for her first birthday. That only happens once in a lifetime!
Super cute - LOVE that picture of Sophie kissing on her new quilt. There's no such thing as having too many quilts - silly husband talk!
Your girl is a lucky duck to have so many quilts made for her. This one is really lovely. I love the flower quilting.
my husband also says we have enough quilts and pillows and so on. I don't think so. :)
I like the quilting. May have to try that, too.

It's lovely ... Lucky Sophie!
Beautiful...nice soft but clear colors! BTW, do you remember the color on her wall? I love that color and am thinking about a robin eggs blue for my bedroom.
Mountain Home Quilts
There is no such thing as "too many quilts." EVER.
So pretty! And I love the robin's egg blue and peachy borders. Perfect for spring and perfect for a sweet little girl!
Nice book and very pretty quilts.
I agree... it's not possible to have too many quilts, especially when they are that darling! Thanks so much for the embroidery book " S is for Stitch" review. I too am an embroidery beginner and love the children's designs you showed. I need all the help I can get, so I think this will be a book for me!
LOve it, what a different baby quilt. Thanks for sharing. Piffle
I am an embroidering nut. I can't think of a better thing to win...I'll cross my fingers.
