My kids have played pretty well together all summer long...until this week. Now we're ready for school to start (6 more days!). Since not all of you are on Instagram I'm re-posting some of those photos here. I'm almost done with the pattern up there and I'll get it posted in the next few days.
Kathy sent me this picture of her Spin Cycle quilt and it pretty much made my week.
It makes me want horses...maybe someday. Right now I'm on pet restriction (husband's actual words) because of these:
We have four baby bunnies just old enough to play with. Cuteness explosion. We haven't let Wilson see them yet, and in case you forgot, Wilson is our "kitten" that grew and grew and ate and grew some more.
If you can't tell by the expression on his face he totally loves me.
Besides having too many pets I've also been working on a few other mini things...more on these soon!
2" pinwheels! I'm off to the last day of swim lessons...woohoo!
Diana
I have a "not another living thing" rule in effect at my house...then I go find a cute little mouse that needs a home...sigh... :) And...I can see the love~
Gloria Yates
I have a cat that looks much like Wilson. Monte has the same "expression" on his face and the same disgust for being picked up...unless he wants you to or wants in your lap!

OMG Alison, your bunnies and "kitten" are too adorable!!! Love that quilt/horse pic too! Hope you survive the next 6 days til school starts! Good luck!! Jennifer

Are you drafting a mini Pow Wow pattern? Because that would be amazing! And Wilson obviously loves you. He just had to look annoyed to save his cat street cred.
Allison
Yep Lynn! Next week I'll have it out! :)
Jamie
My husband has had us on a "mammal reduction plan" for several years. I outsmarted him and got a cockatiel and conure...they aren't mammals! ;). Your bunnies are adorable!
Katie Brown
Mini PowWow.......YEAH!
Tina
All of your pictures are just wonderful, but I LOVE those bunnies!!!!! They are just about the cutest things I've seen in a long time!!!!
shanlowe
I absolutely LOVE Wilson! and I NEED those bunnies!!! We currently have 3 cats, 2 dogs and some chickens. Notice I said "currently" because I always feel like we need a few more furry friends!
Thanks for sharing your fun photos!
Dawn
Wilson is my bucket list cat look-alike! Male, correct? I've never owned a male cat but will make an exception. My kitty has a thyroid tumor but is doing well on meds for now. Looking forward to your next pattern! BTW, I sent three quilts to Sew Shabby and loved her work! Thanks for the recommendation.
Ellen
My dear, late kitty also had a thyroid tumor, but with medication she lived to be almost 19. I miss her, but not so much the shedding. Good luck to yours.
Allison
Oh sorry about your kitty Dawn! Wilson is Male...I've never owned a cat at all so I don't know the difference! So glad I gave you a good recommendation! ;)
Teje
Hi! Your quilt is beautiful and love the mini blocks! Wilson is the best and the little bunnies so adorable!
I made this summer quilt with pink bunny (story still continues in my blog). I love horses and a photwith them and quilt is just perfect! x Teje
Marianne
Oh dear Lord! Those bunnies!!! Way back in time my hubby disturbed a rabbit nest in our compost pile, long story short, I tried to nurse the 4 babies as the mother abandoned them, only 1 survived. I let it loose in our vegetable garden where it lived all summer and fall. It came back to visit the following summer. I know because it let me pet it!
I hope your kids are being careful! :)
Allison
How cute you had a "garden" bunny Marianne!

Those bunnies - soft, fluffiness, and super cute! Wilson is just keeping his "cat coolness" - but he's very handsome. 2" pinwheels? adorable! Thanks for sharing the photos - still love my Spin Cycle!
Jennifer
We have a rule in our house--number of pets cannot exceed number of humans :). Your cat looks like a Maine Coon cat he is so handsome!!
Allison
That sounds like a good rule...technically ours our outdoor animals so maybe I can bend it a little. ;)
Janice Moseley McLaren
Your picture of the baby bunnies just made my day. TOO CUTE!
Robin
Wilson is adorable! Is he a Maine Coon?
Allison
I have no idea Robin! He was an abandoned kitten...the vet didn't mention what breed he thought he might be. The others in the litter were dark and he was the only one with his coloring. We sure love him and he's got a nice temperament with the kids!
Rosemaryflower
Holy COW, I love that quilt!
The horses are very pretty. I love them too but they are too big for me. haha
The Bunns are so adorable. What cuties
I have two cornish rex boy kitties and they are like monkeys. Running climbing and wrestling
One is a small framed fella that reminds me of a rabbit from whence the breed originated, The other cornish boy is ORANGE and called Red Mackeral Tabby (or however you spell it) He is big and silly.
Those baby bunnies are soooooo cute. Goodness.
I love your projects.
Pat S
Whoa! I was in love with the horse (love the quilt, too) but those bunnies are beyond cute. I'm sure Wilson would just LOVE to meet those bunnies. He's a handsome fellow.
