Whoa that’s a long post title! I’m so happy to finish this one up just in time for Spring! We’ve had a doozy of a winter here in Seattle. So. Much. Rain.
Oh boy this quilting design is definitely not my thing. Actually it wasn’t that hard…but it’s the BIG loops that are hard. Small ones I can make look pretty good…big ones are a challenge because you have to move the quilt so much more.
I’m only sharing these photos to make you feel better about your own quilting LOL.
Luckily my girls don’t care if the loops are good…and *most* of the big mistakes look better now that it’s washed.
I used a leftover flannel flat sheet from a set I bought this winter. Flat sheets end up in a wad at the bottom of the beds each night…so I gave up on them! I used 505 basting spray to help hold it in place and no pins…and it worked really well at holding the flannel and I had no creases or folds in the back.
She grabbed it right as I snapped the picture…she’s my best “helper”!
I didn’t get a great full shot of the quilt finished, but you can find one on the tutorial here. I did a scrappy binding with my leftover blue strips from the top…I love scrappy bindings!
Have a great week!
