A look at my finally finished Shimmer quilt and my cute quilt holder-upper on my blog today! This was the slowest quilt because I couldn't decide how to finish it...finally I just threw it in a box to @knotandthread and it turned out beautiful!

I’m avoiding figuring out what to make for dinne

I’m avoiding figuring out what to make for dinner because I forgot to turn on the dang crockpot this morning and I just realized it 7 hours later! 🤪⁣

This Songbook fabric is finally available in jelly rolls and I bought 2 more…it’s my favorite of the year (so far!). The pattern is Avenue in my shop. 👌🏻

I ran out of the binding while I was finishing this one up and added a strip of yellow instead...and now it’s one of my favorite parts. I love putting something unexpected (or a surprise upside down block 🙃) in every quilt!

When my kids were little I used to put them to bed

When my kids were little I used to put them to bed at 7 and have hours to sewwwww uninterrupted. Now my older kids stay up as late as I do, my younger two wake up at the crack of dawn...and there went my sewing time! Now my sewing time is squeezed here and there in my day, I don't remember the last time I actually sewed for more than an hour straight!

Anyways...I finished this quilt and I love it so much! This is our picnic quilt (and made from my Picnic pattern). It's the prettiest picnic quilt we've ever had, and will definitely get used to death. ⁣

Picnic is one of those patterns you can't think too much about...it's OK if similar fabrics are next to each other or even touch, don't over think it! Up close it it might look like a jumbled mess but once you stand back (way back) it looks so much better! Finished this one and taking photos tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻, hope you all had a great 4th!!

Are you a pick out pieces as you go quilter, or a

Are you a pick out pieces as you go quilter, or a layout all the pieces into blocks before you sew quilter? I usually make 1 block so I can get a hang of the pattern, then I lay out all of the blocks and chain piece the rest!

New @dsquilts fabric is finally in shops and it was so fun to sew with! When I first laid eyes on her fabric 13 years ago (or so) it encouraged me to start quilting…this Five + Ten line does the same! @windhamfabrics

I forgot how busy the last few weeks of school are...whew!!! ⁣

This was a pattern I released last month called Avenue, a spin off my Breezy baby quilt from years ago. ⁣
The fabric is so good by @fancythatdesignhouse and hopefully ships soon so I can buy more of it! I used a Jelly Roll to make this quilt, but added in a few extra strips of basics to make it a bit more scrappy (I can't help it..must...make...it...scrappy!). ⁣
