* Planning and coloring quilts…it’s too hard to choose! (pencils from Target)
* Sewing a sweet baby quilt out of this:
* Smoooooshing these cheeks…after she empties every cupboard and drawer she can reach.
* Finally posting a picture of this book….I wrote it when that baby up there was just a bean!
(yay!)
*Making forts….we have no shortage of quilts and blankets:
* Keeping the super heroes/villains fed and happy:
* Sneaking in a little bit more of this:
…and then…I’ll do some laundry. Maybe.
Kate
She's such a cutie!!
Carie
Laundry is vastly overrated and definitely less fun than sewing beautiful fabrics and playing with gorgeous children. I'm glad to see mine isn't the only home where quilts are an integral part of fort construction!
Anna
Looks just like my house with the forts and outfits! Laundry can always wait!
CJ
Oh my gosh...a book!! So exciting! Congratulations!!!
Your super hero/villians picture just tugs at my heartstrings and makes me long for those days again. The princess is a cutie - wont' be long and she will be in costume as well.

Whoopie! Congrats for writing your book!
And I agree that laundry comes last :o)

Love.
Lesley
What a wonderful post to read this morning! Especially love the quilted fort!
Linda at Roscoe's Ma
Congrats on your book, Allison! You are blessed with some cute little laundry makers...
Jilly
Congrats on the book! I can't wait to see the loveliness inside. I love superheros rushing around the house - although we're into jedis now (with mama made jedi robes) - and now our girl is big enough to light sabre fight with them, which is hilarious - she totally beats them up.
Lucy @ Charm About You
Can I come and live at your house??! Looks like so much fun :)
congratulations on the book!
Mommarock
I used to have baby latches on all but one drawer.. that was the drawer with the plastic lids, and that was all for the babies. I would prop it open so that it couldn't close on her fingers, and let her/ and him put them in and out all afternoon long.
Karla Hoffmann
Ha laundry! Yep, that's on the list, somewhere I'm sure, I'm just ignoring it slightly! Really feeling the itch to be in my HQ sewing away, haven't been able to get a moment alone with my machine in a couple weeks :/ laundry is piling up, babies and toddler sick and sooky!
The color palet for your quilt lifted my sorrowful spirit of woe me! :) now I think I shall start coloring in while holding crying babes aswell as blog reading from my phone! :)
Sharon
Congrats on your book, I've already preordered my copy! I have made many quilts from your tutorials...looking forward to your book!
KerryQ
Congrats on the book!
Elsa
How exciting to have a book published! And then there's the laundry, really cute children and sewing to do ~ you're a busy person!

Krysta
I'm doing pretty much the same thing...except for the book part ;) Couldn't have written a better post about the best ways to avoid laundry myself!
Melissa Corry
So excited about the book!! Eeek!!! Is Monday laundry day for everyone?? I think maybe I need to go build some forts and ignore the stacks of dirty clothes a little longer too:)
Lindsay_Loris
Just added your book to my Amazon wish list:D

Can't wait for the book! And the laundry--it can always wait. Except maybe the underwear load.
evamarie
Wow a book! And i thought my little terrorists were the only ones stripping every room of quilts to make tentish constructions!
Becky
Cute fabrics to play with but even cuter baby! I am soooo excited to be holding three new grand daughters this year! I am seeing lots (more) pink in my future too. I already have 6 grand daughters :)

Congratulations on your book! Can't wait to see more1
Theresa
Congrats on the book.
I remember when my boys were little and used to run around the house in costumes. We have those same helmets. Cherish it because one morning they will wake up and they will be "too big" for that. It really does feel like it was overnight.
randi--i have to say
Congratulations on a book. How wonderful!
Also, your little gal is simply adorable! Thanks for sharing her smile today!

Laundry is highly over-rated.....
Sarah
I don't mind laundry, or we call it washing in Australia! It's the one chore I don't mind though. It's all I can manage to keep up with (well, sort of!)with 3 kids, working 3.5 days a week. So my blog post of a week would kinda look a lot like yours, except without as much sewing unfortunately! your kids are so cute. Squish the cheeks often because when you blink she'll be nearly 4 and starting preschool like my youngest did last week, sniff!
Carla
Your wee girlie is so precious! I miss those days. Wish I had quilted in those days but we were as poor as church mice anyway!
Anita
I've been putting off laundry in favour of sewing quilts too! I think tomorrow I will have to break down and throw a load or two in though. ;)
Kellie
I'm so excited about your book!!!
SewBlinkey.blogspot.com
I think that little girl is so sweet. Love those two little teeth. Wow, no wonder you squish cheeks and kiss them. I'm the same. I have two charm packs of Posy, that is just the best fabric. Hope I can get yardage soon. Take care
Angie from Dear Spring Green
Yay! Cangratulations on your book! I can't wait to look thorugh it and choose a new quilt to make!
Linda
The Posy baby quilt will be adorable! And I can't believe that little doll is that big........she should still be a newborn....sigh.

Soon you'll be quilting in the nude...no biggie. Love the sweet baby cheeks!
The Cozy Pumpkin
A big huge congrats on your book!!! I can't wait to see it. And I just got a mini charm pack of "Posy" and have big plans for a wall hanging for my daughter's room, complete with embroidery. Can't wait to see what you do with yours! :)
And darn you for showing me those pencils. They just got added to my shopping list at Target today. ;) lol

I feel safer just knowing there are superheroes like that in the world!
Helen L
Love your pics!! the quilts, the superhero's and the sweet baby cheeks (and ouch! those teeth look SHARP!) I'll bet you've felt a nip from them a time or two!! And the empty cupboards! Yep! and they climb in them too and hide (I have one deep cupboard that they loved!) Hug them again and again: they grow TOO FAST!!
Ellen
Haven't you heard???? the only time housework comes before quilting is in the dictionary. Enjoy your kids and quilting.
