12 years ago I wrote the tutorial for these Sprocket Pillows and shared it here on my blog...it's been my most popular tutorial ever since.
Those were the days my sewing machine was right next to my bed in our tiny townhouse, and I remember staying up almost all night tweaking these pillow templates and sewing while my husband snoozed away next to me because I was so excited about how they were turning out!
I got the itch to make a couple of Christmas sprocket pillows after seeing a few online that others had made. They are SO fun to make!!! Also since it's been 12 years since I updated this pattern, I also put the blog tutorial into a nice printable.

I used various pieces of Christmas fabrics + some reds and greens from my stash to make these, plus some red sample yardage from my Clover & Dot line for the middle and back.
These pillows are seriously easy to make, and the best part is you don't need to stress if the center seams don't line up...because you cover it up with a button and Ta-da! It looks perfect. I took a photo of this one because by some miracle it lined up perfectly...but my other one wasn't so pretty.
If you've never made a Sprocket Pillow, even if you've never made a pillow....do it! These are really the most fun to sew and not hard at all. They go together really quick and are so darn cute! Here's the link for the free pattern just in case you missed it:
I hope to see lots of your Sprocket Pillows in my future!!!
Since I probably won't post again until next year, I'll leave you with some of my favorite Christmas quilts from years past (if you click on the photos it takes you to the blog posts about them).
Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, and everything in between! -Allison
