    Baby Quilts

    Nov 8, 2008

I finished these ones up last week. I decided to use up my fabric stash before I buy new stuff, so these were made with fabric I had and scraps from other projects. I've learned that I really like binding my quilts by hand. Its always nice to sit on the couch and do something that only requires my fingers to move, that doesn't happen very often. I always feel kind of sad when I'm all finished and have nothing else to bind!

I feel the same way about the last part of binding. I love sitting on the couch with the tv in the background and a warm quilt in my lap, finishing up the binding.

I love the quilts! Especially the pink one. I, too, love the hand stitching of the binding. I really like to hand stitch - I just don't do it that often.

Hey Allison, it's Mckinzie. I love your baby quilts. I had a quick question. I'm looking for some cute fabric to make Benson a quilt for his 1st birthday in January. I was looking for birthday theme fabric, i.e. cakes, ballons, cupcakes. Do you know any cute lines that have any birthday fabric? Or I was thinking maybe a dog or train quilt. Do you know any cute lines with that kind of fabric in blues, or greens (boy colors)? Thanks Allison. My email is mcole@vandals.uidaho.edu.
