Really sick of sewing on buttons.
Ok maybe not, but there was a lot of button sewing involved. I made this for a gift last week, and now I want to start making one for myself. Except I think I’ll put mine in a chunky white (or black?) frame. I got the idea here. This one measures 10 x 10 and is made to hang, or stand up on its own.
That is so gorgeous! I love it!!! I see a button 'L' in my future!
What a great idea. I could do an `M`.

GREAT IDEA!
I have tons of buttons that I inherited from my precious grandmother, this would be a great project to incorporate her buttons into!
Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Props to you! I could never have the patience to sew on that many buttons in one project!
Ooh, that's so pretty!
Fun! Bookmarking this for a project to do when my button collection gets as out-of-control as my fabric collection!
Oh, my gosh, this is beautiful! I have heaps of white buttons, more than I could ever use on clothing. You just gave me an idea for my nieces' Christmas gifts!
Looks great!
Oh I absolutely LOVE this!!
thanks for sharing
I'm an "R" you could send it my way. I love it!
That would make an awesome housewarming gift!
That it lovely – I agree that is alot of sewing – would hot glue work?
Beautiful! I hate sewing buttons on. i'm thinking this would be a fine project for the ol' hot glue gun, no?
I know how you feel. One year I had to sew 200 buttons onto a Christmas wallhanging. But your project is worth it. It is beautiful and something that can be seen and treasured all year round. I'm off to look at that tutorial and maybe make one myself. Yours is beautiful.
Yeah, I'd be sick of sewing on buttons too and I'd probably have taken the lazy way out and used a glue gun! :)
Allison that is adorable.
Ohhhh, I like!
LOVE this, too! I think I may try to make one myself. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great – another project I've got to add to my list! Thanks.alot. Just kidding! I really love it! I've got tons of buttons. Such a cute idea to add to my kid's room.
Oh my heck!! I love this so much!
I love buttons so much that I had vintage button shaped candy on my wedding cake. I definitely need to make one of these pronto.
I lOVE this idea!! What a lovely gift this is going to make!

Oh, I love, love, love this idea! I can't wait to start putting my button collection to use!!!
What a cool idea. I've been wanting to make something with my initial "S" to decorate my studio, and this could be just the thing. Off to look through my button jars…
Breathtaking – I'm a girl with a thing for buttons and monochromatic colour schemes.
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing.
I really love this. Sure would like to try this out some day.
THAT is gorgeous! I really love it!
Love it!! So gonna steal this idea!! Or as Robin said, I'm an R and you can send it my way!! Just kidding…I just received your blocks and scraps that you gave away…I shouldn't be so greedy ;-))
Love it!!
R is also for ridiculously cute! Love it!
That is sooo cute!
So I totally made my mom and sister in law one for Christmas :) You have the best ideas!!

This would be really nice as a cover for a wedding scrapbook!
i LOVE this!!! i'm looking for ways to personalize my house. and i love the look of this…especially in a big chunky black frame. oh, i can just picture it now! thanks for the link. :)
Tons of button sewing was totally worth it! This is amazing!!! :)
I LOVE this! My last name starts with an "R" so I might be copying your idea. It is breautiful!
Just wanted to let you know I made four of these for Christmas presents this year and LOVE how they came out. You can see them here (I linked back to your blog.)
My friend made a button wall hanging and used a long thread and did a couple of loops through each button and only tied off when she ran out of thread. So much faster that knotting each one individually. Is this made the same way?
