    From a stack

    Aug 24, 2011

    I love how a stack of this…

    can be transformed into this:

It’s amazing how much I like cutting up fabric and sewing it back together again.   This one was inspired by a photo of tile in Sevilla, Spain….where I met my husband.  :)  The fabric stack above is from my fat quarter bundle at the Fat Quarter Shop.

Oh my, that is gorgeous! What a pretty design!

And I'm with you. Sometimes I just marvel at how I take this one stack of fabrics, chop it up, sew it together (and then maybe chop it and sew it again), and it becomes a quilt. So cool.

Good Morning! That is a very nice tutorial this morning you posted with Samm. I am so happy when I find it explained so that perhaps even I could cut and sew a quilt. I like your 'stack and slash' method. Plus I love your blog..Fun! Have a great day and thank you for the post and tutorial!
