I had the idea for this quilt while driving by the Chase Bank sign. Really...I did! ;)
I find inspiration in the most random places.
This is a layer cake (or fat quarter) pattern, and I love the way the blocks "bounce" around the quilt. It's a simple one block quilt which means there are no long sashing strips to pin and sew (yayyyyyy!).
I used a layer cake of Bounce, with this white fabric as the background. This small throw size only needs 30 of the 10" squares in the layer cake pack... I love that I could be a little choosy and pick out the fabrics that look best against the white background.
I quilted this on my Bernina with my go-to wavy stitch (Bernina stitch 4, width set to 5, length set to 3). The back is also from the Bounce line.
I can see many more of these quilts in my future...they are a great way to use up leftover random 10" squares and sew up a quick quilt! It's an especially fun pattern for a kids quilt.
Jane doing what she does best...jumping on the beds and playing in her siblings stuff the second after they get on the school bus (and today she found her brother's hidden candy stash...whoops)!
PS. If you are a wholesale shop that is carrying my Bounce fabric, email me for a wholesale special for the two new patterns for it! email@example.com
