(That cute needlepoint was a gift from Peggy Christenson and is one of my favorite possessions. And the sign was a gift from Andrea Hoke ...it made my life complete.)
I've spent the last week or so shuffling around my sewing room, office space, kids bedrooms, and basically the entire house to bring my sewing stuff downstairs into our living room so my 12 year old could have his own room. So far it's kind of like cooking in someone else's kitchen...it feels a bit odd to be down on the main floor, but I also LOVE that I feel like I'm spending so much more time with my kids and I'm not hidden up in my sewing room! Plus it's still nice and bright.
I brought down a little bit of my fabric, I'm trying to sort it as I bring it down and it's slow going. Every time I move my fabric around I'm grateful that I'm a fairly "light stasher"! Eventually when I bring it all down I'll make it look tidy and folded on the shelf...maybe.
I obviously have a favorite block....isn't that center cute? That fabric was leftover from a backing, the 108" wideback by Lori Holt I purchased here. It's a darker teal than it looks in my photo. Cutest backing ever. Also my yellow game is still going strong...I tried taking a break from the yellow but it didn't last long.
I spent last month piecing up a storm so that I can share something new soon. Can't wait to finish up the computer work (the worst) so I can share it!
